THE WEEK’S LINKS
this week was more fun in the backyard (teeter totters, drum circles, play dates); time spent at the restaurant (getting the patio ready for the nice weather heading our way!); and a bloggers’ night out (#eatdrinkcreate at west elm) hosted by lexy from the proper pinwheel and erin from artsocial. i’m spending the weekend gearing up for easter (best friends and easter egg hunts and braised lamb and a risen lord anyone?!) as well as prepping for some fun blog posts coming up (new sponsors and a giveaway and, well, blogging is just fun to me oh my!). so in the meantime, i leave you with some links!
- ramona rocking out to a school bus song at her diri and dido’s home.
- we dyed easter eggs this morning using recipes for natural dyes (all stuff found in my kitchen already!). i was surprised how little prep it actually took and i can’t wait to see the rich colors.
- children should be allowed to get bored.
- “children, far from being contrary, are by nature profoundly social. expecting them to be so is what allows them to be so.”
- a very moving piece on taking care of the elderly at end of life. i’ve had secondhand experience with this watching my mother selflessly take care of both of her ailing parents, who have since died.
- the family stories that bind us. the importance of narrative in extended family.
- a good guide for etiquette when dealing w others’ bereavement.
- having lived in 572 sq feet that past 3.5 years, i get that living w less is living w more.

I think we can all do with living with a little less. We’ve slowly but surely been trying to cut out the clutter & live with less.
PS I do love Ramona’s outfits, too cute!
