jp and i don’t have much planned for valentine’s day. we got each other goats (see post below) and that took a lot of time, energy, and moola. so we decided to lay low this year. the only thing we have planned is a nice-ish bottle of wine paired with some biscuits and gravy. we roll really fancy sometimes, as you can see.

but i do love having something little to give him. so today, while the kids were sleeping, i completed this handmade stitched valentine’s card from dandee designs. now all i have to do is write a sappy, romantic note in it telling him how much i love him and how amazing he is.

happy anniversary, mama and papa.

thank you for the amazing model of marriage you have demonstrated for me and brian, and now jp and erica. the way you two live out your love for one other each and every day is inspiring and encouraging and honest. love is a choice, we know this by now, and i’m so blessed that you two have always chosen to love the other. i know it hasn’t always been easy –no marriage is– but the way you two have weathered any storm has been full of grace and patience and selflessness.  you two are perfect for each other. i love you.

love, lu

can you believe these two people are old enough to be married 32 years? to have grandchildren? it’s true. my parents age quite well.
